| This ship was the prototype of a series from three units, which were constructed in 1893-1896. Her twins were "Admiral Senjavin" and "General - admiral Apraksin". All of them have been constructed on the Baltic shipyard in Saint Petersburg. In May, 27 and 28, 1905 took part in Tsusym battle. The fight has ended with defeat of the Russian fleet, and "Admiral Ushakov" has received serious damages from Japanese cruisers "Ivate" and "Yakumo". Next day the ship has been caught by Japanese cruisers "ázumÁ" and "YakumÏ" and has received six hits of 203-mm by shells and nine - shells of 152 mm. Japanese have suggested a crew to capitulate, but any Russian seamen has not abandoned the posts. The commander of the ship, seeing hopelessness of a situation, has ordered to open valves and to flood a battleship that she did not fall down in hands of the opponent. In May, 28, 1905 at 18:10 "Admiral Ushakov" has sunk. The model has excellent detailing. High quality polygraphy. |
