She was made on September, 28th, 1898 on a building berth of the Nikolaev admiralty in the city Nikolaev. She was build under the prototype of a battleship "Three Prelates", to the processed project of battleships of type "Relight", the booking scheme is similar to an English battleship "Majestic". On a battleship for the first time used the centralised governor of artillery fire - from the central post located in fighting cabin. She became the first ship of the Russian fleet with liquid fuel boiler. On June, 14th (on new style on June, 27th) 1905 on a battleship there was a revolt of sailors. As an occasion to revolt the order of the commander of the ship on punishment of 30 sailors has served, refused to eat a borsch (a soup) with the spoiled meat. Sailors have arrested officers, have lifted a red flag on a battleship and have resulted the ship to the Odessa captured by a general strike, trying to help striking workers. Mutiny proceeded eleven days during which the command of the rebellious ship and did not manage to win round other ships. Having spent fuel and foodstuffs stocks, seamen have left in the Romanian port Constance and have handed over a battleship to the Romanian authorities. After revolt the battleship has been renamed in "Panteleimon". Model boards have black colouring, pipes yellow. There is a multi-colour bilateral prosignet - black, yellow, red colours. Windows are printed with bronze bounds.
