| The "Colonial" cruiser of 3-rd class of "Lavoisier" has been incorporated in Toulon in January, 1895, launched in April of 1897, and finally completed in 1898. In total in a series was three ships, but "Galilei" and "Linei" have finished the service in 1910-1911. "Lavoisier" it was possible to take part in the First world war. In the beginning of war - the protection of the French fishing courts at coast of Iceland, patrol service in La Manche, in Port Said, in East Mediterranean. Since September, 1916 - a stationer in Morocco, since July 1918 - again on Mediterranean sea. In 1919 it is disarmed, in 1920 it was sign off.
