| The monitor has met the beginning of Patriotic war in full alertness. She has made the first shot on batteries of Germans at 4 o'clock 15 minutes on June, 22, 1941. From this shot began long (fight has terminated only late at night the same day) and fierce fight. Due to skill and courage of crew of monitor "Zhelezniakov", the battery of the enemy has been completely destroyed and one plane is brought down.
