| The guard ship "Deyatelnyy" was laid on 21.06.1972 on the stocks of the plant "Zaliv" in Kerch, was launched on 5.04.1975 and on 19.02.1976 went into service in the Black Sea Navy. The ship was in the service in the Black and Mediterranean Seas, paid visits to the ports of Tunisia, Libya, Bulgaria and other countries. In 1978 and 1988 it won the awards of the Navy General Headquarters for anti-submarine training. The guard ships of the project 1135 occupy a special place in the history of the native navy. Having a considerable difference from their predecessors not only with the impetuous and refined silhouette, but also with essentially different weapon systems and means of detection, with advanced energy properties and the high level of automation, these landmark ships brought up the long-distance anti-submarine defense to the new qualitative level. This in general successful construction provided for them a long active service on all the marine and ocean seats of war; their possibilities are not exhausted till nowadays too. |
